Meet ChaChanna
Hey there!

I’m ChaChanna, an award-winning flash fiction writer. It never gets old to type that.

I’m supposed to write something posh and professional here but I am currently trying to figure out how to write a comic book, so I’m gonna just go do that and come back and finish this properly, later. Maybe.

I curate and host Storytelling Sundays at The Westport Library, a bi-monthly open mic that welcomes storytellers of all backgrounds and experiences. I’ve performed on stages across the Northeast, sharing stories that range from my personal life.

I’m a member of Northeast Storytelling (NEST), the Connecticut Storytelling Center, and Ubuntu Storytellers—communities that support my work and keep me connected to other storytellers and writers.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably planning my next trip (I LOVE traveling), reading romantasy (I don’t know how I got here.), learning chess, or competing at trivia night with my partner.
The B Side of ChaChanna
-
I sometimes refer to myself as Empress ChaChanna, and it tickles me when people call me Empress.

-
My voice is melodious (singing and speaking).

-
Everyone in my immediate family has a minimum of two tattoos. Our motto is “a family who tattoos together stays together.” (It’s actually not. I totally just made that up.)

-
My mother and I are the only ones who enjoy watching scary movies so whenever one comes out in the theaters, we go see it. Just in case you’re wondering, I never watch them alone.

-
I love visiting historic homes. I'm just curious aka nosy about how other people lived and decorated their homes.

-
I love traveling. My last trip was to Portugal and my next adventure is Bonaire.
